Roast & Toast, a place I often refer to as my home away from home, holds many of my dearest memories. Scovies of Charlevoix is a great stop, but there is something unmatchable about the atmosphere of Petoskey's Roast & Toast cafe. I am currently seated near the window, just left of the chalkboard menu adorned with broken glassware, with my opened Bible, laptop, journal, and of course a Peace Tea on the table before me. The people come and go, often sharing a smile and even more frequently sharing a piece of inspiration for me to sketch or write about. The atmosphere of this place is welcoming and I could ask for nothing more of the place.
