Ah! Finally a Petoskey Winter Day
I’ve been praying for it. I’ve been begging for it – and I finally got it! Not the winning lotto ticket numbers, but a real winter day in Petoskey, MI.
I walked outside this morning into wind and snow and winter! Ah, the bliss! I grabbed the snow shovels and took a few inches off the back drive and decks before heading into town for my morning coffee and spicy vegetarian wrap at Roast & Toast.
Mitchell Street looked bleak and deserted at 7am on this snowy Monday morning. The weather is not going to bring much cheer to the Petoskey merchants still looking for those after Christmas shopping dollars.
At 9am I headed over to Petoskey Health & Fitness for my workout and 8 minutes at the beach. Now I’m next door at Horizon Books, my afternoon “third place.”
Horizon Books is a great place to hang out and get some work done. 
Free WiFi, a fireplace, coffee and juice – and a complete reference section! A friendly staff like Susan & Bob are icing on the cake for this wonderful local bookstore.
My friend, Kathi Morris, is helping a friend to sale their log home in Harbor Springs – and I decided to chip in and help her as I have an extensive background in marketing real estate on the Internet.
Unfortunately, as I look out the window, the snow has ceased. I’m sure everyone else is happy to see it fade, but I’m still waiting for “winter with a vengeance.”
