Ruminating Blackberries Vacate Petoskey

Local Good Cheer Makes Small Towns Great

The Holidays are over.  The locals are back.  Not that they ever left, but it’s such a warm pleasure to hear everyone call each other by name.

Love the people from out of town, don’t get me wrong, but there tends to be a difference as they arrive from “larger places.”  They often don’t say hello to strangers; they often show their luxurious accouterments while they stare at text messages, ruminate on Blackberries, or worry more about their presentation than warmth of the environment.

No judgments here, but simple observations in general.

I guess before we start our morning gin game, I’d better answer that text message from my son.  Touché!
