Monday’s are Pizza & Beer Night at Cava in Bay Harbor
Last night HajDa and I were at Cava in Bay Harbor, Michigan with three wild boys (16, 22, 22) for pizza, beer and pool. HajDa isn’t a big beer drinker, so he had a bottle of one of the fine Cabarnets available. Monday’s are pizza and beer night at Cava – $10 for a pizza and a draft. What a deal for a gourmet pizza and a great draft in Petoskey.
Cava recently added a pool table to their upstairs room, so we all decided to go out on a blustery night to shoot pool and enjoy each other’s company. 10 pizzas later, along with the beers, we were all in a fine mood.

Those young men have large appetites – or is it the old guys? Either way, there wasn’t a crumb left!
Tim, the bartender, and Rich, the waiter, got a real workout running up and down the stairs to keep us in pizzas and beer. The young college boys were disappointed that there weren’t any wild females table dancing and looking for love in all the wrong places, but they managed to curb their enthusiasm and allow their inner gentlemen to rule the day.
I highly recommend Cava for billiards, pizza and beer – any night, not just Mondays – but the $10 special is certainly an incentive to brave the blowing snow for the short drive from Petoskey to Bay Harbor.
