Pray for 100 Degree Weather in Detroit
Peter Fitzsimons, Petoskey Area Visitors Bureau executive director, said the Great Lakes area will need more warm summer weather — the type that entices city-dwellers to head north — than it saw last year.

Winter living in Petoskey helped to save a little girl in Charlotte, NC. Petoskey native, Mark McCullagh, rescued a child and a man from an ice covered pond. McCullagh said Michigan winters helped to prepare him for the frigid dip in the lake he had to take to save the day.
We love our winters and summers here in Northern Michigan. The winters are an especially nice time to visit the Great Wall of Michigan.
