March Madness in Petoskey MI

Warm March Days in Petoskey

The snow in Petoskey – what snow? – is all but gone. You can still find a pile or two in the shade, but you have to put in some effort to find them.

There’s still ice in Little Traverse Bay, but it, too, is feeling the impact of the mild March days. Is this March Madness or what?!

My friend, Greg, is in town visiting. He’s just back from 4 weeks in Europe – Italy, Ireland and Sweden. He has a retreat at the Columbiere Retreat Center later this week, so he decided to visit the fair city of Petoskey instead of having to back to Califonia after Europe and then back to Columbiere.

Like most visitors and residents, he is charmed by Petoskey, Mi.

Yesterday, I took him to Symons General Store for the second time. I thought it was time he sampled some of the $22 a pound, melt-in-your-mouth toffee Symon’s carries. Two big chunks cost me $9.25 – which we took with us to Roast & Toast.

We’ve been having coffee every morning at Roast & Toast – Greg’s a coffee enthusiast. Hillary has been taking good care of us and all the other R&T patrons.

Greg spent most of the morning at Petoskey Health & Fitness where he did his best to shed the 5 pounds he picked up in Europe. Meanwhile, I was over at Yoga Roots for an incredible 2-hour massage with Nancy.

Sanity is not my choice when March Madness is running amok in Petoskey, MI
